MY PERSONAL SPACE
Show me friends and I will predict your future ….the age old saying…I was forcefully thrust into the space a time evaluating two particular friendships …and this is how this piece came about… Simply put , the friends you keep have a lot to do with your success or lack thereof….. As Africans we often keep large circles. Because we don’t really know the purpose of a friendship ,we assume we need a whole club of people to call friends ….there is a difference between a friend and an acquaintance. A difference between someone you and someone to talk to you…and someone you confide in. I think as Africans we have never really took the time to discover what we want in a friendship…we have a huge contact list and claim they are all our friends …That’s why we figure who has good or bad intentions because there are so many people in our circle ….we fail to protect our aura and energies by bringing in people from all spheres , by that act alone of being associated with some people we infect our and bring impurity upon us. We let people in without properly ensuring their intention for us…Not everyone is good for you…look past the smile and kind utterances ….seek the agenda …A friend is extension of who you are….a person can have minimal friends and still be happy holistically….As Africans we have the mentality that the more people we know the better life is …yes form alliances…but not everyone deserves a seat at your table of life…..some people are better kept afar….Every successful friendship is a gift from God…..if it last over 5 years ….it is meant for the long haul….if you give more than you get …walk away….also accept that you might want a friendship but the other person is not keen ….that is ok …that is the higher power securing your from disaster …the greatest friend is one who makes an effort….if you happen to find one ….hold on …. Keep it honest ..simple …happy…progressing…above all …love and accept….
